This is a great program that benefits both local farmers and those eligible for WIC Voucher benefits. We purchase fresh produce from local farmers and sell it at cost to make it affordable. Hosting these markets at WIC clinics offer solutions to area food deserts and alleviate transportation issues to the nearest grocery store with fresh produce.
WHEN? April - October on Tuesday mornings 7:30 to early afternoon (end time dependent on when we run out of produce). You are welcome to volunteer the entire shift or you can choose your own hours during that timeframe if you'd prefer

WHERE? The Buckner WIC Clinic is located at 3302 Buckner Blvd. #130 Dallas, TX 75228. The Ledbetter WIC Clinic is located at 111 West Ledbetter Dr. #600 Dallas, TX 75224
The Owenwood Farm project is a start-up urban farm that will provide fresh fruits and vegetables to our WIC Farm Stands and other outlets. The farm is part of the Owenwood Farm & NeighborSpace collaboration and will be 3.5 acres when fully built out.
WHEN? Some Fridays or schedule a time for your group to spend a few hours working the crops.
WHO? Ages 6+. (Children must have adult supervision.)
WHERE? 1451 John West Rd, Dallas, 75228. Located at the former Owenwood United Methodist Church.
