Fresh Stop Farm Stands support healthy food access by facilitating SNAP acceptance and the WIC Farmers Market Nutrition Program (FMNP). We operate farm stands at two WIC clinics and at Owenwood Farm between April and October each year. The Fresh Stop staff work with local farmers to bring their fresh fruits and vegetables to WIC clinics that are more accessible to families with WIC benefits.
The Farmers Market Nutrition Program (FMNP) provides an additional $30 in vouchers for allowed fresh fruits and vegetables for each eligible person with WIC benefits. This includes women who are pregnant, breastfeeding, or post-partum and children ages 1-5. The vouchers are issued one (1) time per year and are in addition to the benefits on the WIC card. Vouchers are distributed at specific locations and can be used at all locations listed below.
Vouchers are issued until September 30 and can be used until October 31st.
