Whether you're a beginner or an experienced grower, there may come a time when you'll need to build, repair, update or remodel structures on your property. Join us for part two of our Basic On-Farm Carpentry workshop where you will put your skills and knowledge to the test as we work together to build a simple on-farm (or in-garden) washing station. This workshop will be led by Brandon Iker, PhD, so bring your enthusiasm, questions and desire to learn! Don't forget to wear closed toe shoes, and bring a pair of gloves and eye protection if you have them. Additionally, please bring water and a snack since this workshop takes place during supper time! Instructor Bio: Brandon Iker, PhD. With over 30 years of hands-on agricultural experience across Ohio, Arizona, Michigan, and Texas, Brandon has a wealth of knowledge in both urban and rural small farm operations, sustainability, and water quality. Brandon’s workshops combine deep scientific insights with practical, real-world applications. Ideal for anyone looking to revitalize an old farm or enhance their current operations, these workshops offer a unique opportunity to learn from a seasoned expert in a positive and professional setting.Brandon holds a PhD in Environmental Science from the University of Arizona.
