Farm Financial and Business Basics

Tuesday, March 16, 2021

  6pm - 8pm

    Free Zoom Webinar

Our recent winter storm is only one example of the risks of farming. Now more than ever, Texas farmers need support and all the tools available to assure their success. Join us for a webinar on key financial and business basics for farmers to manage their financial resources and to access additional funding and relief such as crop insurance and other USDA programs.

We’ll discuss basic farm financial management resources for tasks
such as basic accounting, record keeping, filing taxes, and budgeting

This might not be the fun part of farming, but it's a crucial part of your success! Learn where to find those resources that can help you succeed!

Presenter will be Susie Marshall, GROW North Texas. Susie has 15 years of experience in working with farmers and food access. She also directs the Food Safety Outreach project for the Texas Organic Farmers and Gardeners Association, training small farmers in the Food Safety Modernization Act and serves on the Southern Risk Management Education Center Advisory Committee.
