Understanding the Texas Cottage Food Law

VIRTUAL WEBINAR

JANUARY 10th, 2022

6:00 pm - 7:30 pm

Do you have a food product that you make that other people just love? Do you think you could make money from this product at the farmers market? This webinar will cover the Texas Cottage Food Law in detail, for producers who want to make food in their home kitchen (rather than a commercial kitchen). Learn what & where you can sell, as well as information about details like labeling, sampling, and insurance.

Presenter Judith McGeary is an attorney, regenerative farmer, and founder of the Farm and Ranch
Freedom Alliance (FARFA).  Judith has 16 years of experience providing technical assistance for farmers on a wide range of regulatory issues. FARFA advocates for common-sense, scale-appropriate regulations to support independent farmers and ranchers and help rebuild a resilient, diverse local food system.
