APRIL 7th, 2024 In-Person Workshop 2:00 pm - 3:30 PM
With the hot summer soon approaching, drip irrigation is the most efficient way to water your crops. Come see how easy it can be to add drip irrigation to your garden or small farm with minimal pipe cutting and gluing. A licensed irrigator will demonstrate how to use flexible irrigation piping with push-on fittings and connectors for a professional-grade system. Each person will assist with cutting and laying down drip tubing across 45-foot crop rows on the Owenwood Farm. This type of system is up to 70% faster to install than a traditional PVC system and the parts can be found at local hardware stores and online. It may be hot. Please bring sunscreen and water. Dress for the weather and to work outside.
