Join us at Owenwood Farm & Neighbor Space for an engaging Jam Making 101 demonstration with award-winning jam maker, Helen Dulac, where you'll learn the timeless art of transforming fresh fruits into delicious homemade jams. This introductory class is designed for food enthusiasts and hobbyists who want to explore the basics of jam-making as well as growers and gardeners looking to incorporate value-added products into their operations. In this workshop, you will discover the essentials of jam-making, preparation techniques, water bath canning, and other tips and advice from the jam queen herself! As a class, we will make jelly from fruits/herbs grown and harvested at Owenwood Farm. Each person will take home a jar of jam/jelly you make! The class will be in an upstairs classroom at Owenwood Neighbor Space, 1451 John West Rd, Dallas. Park behind the building, walk up the wooden ramp, and enter through the double doors. Walk straight down the hallway, past the bathrooms. Take the staircase on the right, right before the sanctuary entrance. Once upstairs, go down the hall, and enter the last classroom on the left. You will pass bathrooms and a water fountain on your right.
