Orchard Planting at Metrocrest Services

Join GROW North Texas and Metrocrest Services for a fun Saturday morning making a positive difference in the community at Metrocrest Services Teaching Garden in Carrollton! 

When: Saturday, January 31 from 9:00 AM* to 12:00 PM

*Volunteers should arrive at 8:45 AM to get settled and sign liability waivers before event starts.

Where: Metrocrest Services Teaching Garden, 1145 N Josey Ln, Carrollton, TX 75006

Parking & Arrival:

Parking lots closest to the Teaching Garden will be the best and closest option for parking. Enter the parking lot from Pearl St or Josey Ln and make your way to the southern part of the parking lot.

What to Wear & Bring:

• Closed-toed shoes or boots required;
• Long pants and long-sleeves recommended;
• Clothes you don’t mind getting a little dirty; and
• A reusable water bottle.

• GROW North Texas will provide all necessary tools and gloves. 
• Welcome from our hosts, a group photo, and an informational session on fruit trees and best planting practices.
• Breakout into small groups for planting trees.
• An impactful community-centered experience with new people.
