UNDERSTANDING USDA PROGRAMS PT 1:
WHAT IS NRCS
AND WHAT IT HAS TO OFFER SMALL FARMS

OCTOBER 16, 2026
ZOOM
12:00PM - 1:00PM

Are you a farmer or food grower who's curious about USDA programs? Register and spend the lunch hour with USDA Dallas Urban Office's NRCS (Natural Resources Conservation Services) and FSA (Farm Service Agency) learning about the programs and resources available to small and urban farms. From land conservation to farm ownership loans, this two part series will cover some important topics across each agency.

USDA is made up of 29 agencies and offices who serve the American people at more than 4,500 locations across the country and abroad. USDA agencies help to keep America's farmers and ranchers in business and ensure that the nation's commercial supply of meat, poultry and egg products is safe wholesome and properly labeled. USDA's vision is to provide economic opportunity through innovation, helping rural America to thrive, to promote agriculture production that better nourishes Americans while also helping feed others throughout the world and to preserve the Nation's natural resources through conservation, restored forests, improved watersheds and healthy private working lands.
